I had never been to Kayak Point County Park located in Stanwood, Washington before this engagement session on the beach but, let me tell you, it is amazing! I personally love beach photos just simply because there is something about the beach that creates such beautiful images. It’s the light, the water, the sand, the atmosphere, and the background of course. Kayak point is really unique because it had this really cool boardwalk that adds some drama to the images.
I personally was obsessed with UNDERNEATH the boardwalk and didn’t even use the actual dock out to the water!
The rest of the shoot was pretty fun, we took a few images on the water which was so beautiful and had these pillars that I just loved.
We walked down the beach and found this really pretty little grass area which offered us some variety. I also try to create a very diverse gallery for my clients, I don’t want EVERY image to be he same!
For those of you who don’t know, I LOVE the detail shots so I took a -few– shots of Alexis’s beautiful engagement ring!!
As we were walking back to our cars, we saw these cherry trees and had to stop for a few photos there as well. The bride, Alexis, has picked pink as one of her wedding colors so I thought it would be fun to get some pink in there for her 😉
We really had a ton of fun at this engagement session. I love to keep things really natural and authentic and the best compliment that -ALL- of my clients give me is, “That was really fun!”. For me, that’s what it is all about. Having fun and capturing two people in love!
